The front side of this color handout includes the USDA pyramid with original artwork of the types of foods that older adults eat. The front also emphasizes the importance of using fortified foods or supplements to meet vitamin D and vitamin B12 requirements, as well as the importance of consuming adequate fiber and appropriate fluids. The backside includes recommendations and tips for consuming foods from each food category: Vegetables, Fruits, Grains, Dairy, and Protein Foods.
